Mar-25-04 The Biggest Collection Ever (88) Item number: 4100713339

I had so much fun with these beads - I hope it shows. These are not leftovers or bad beads, I actually made this entirely collection during the last week, thinking to offer them as small sets of "specials" on my website, but then when I saw the pile of different beads in front of me I knew I didn't have the heart to break them up. Whether you use them for designing jewelry for your entire family or neighborhood, or whether you just have them in a box to play with, and let yourself be inspired by the varitey of patterns, I am sure you will enjoy these beads for a long time. The average size is 8mm x 12mm - and they are all handmade lampwork, kiln annealed, and of course shipping is free. Oh, did I mention that there IS a tiny speck of pink on the cat's nose? (just in case you are one of those "pink-searchers" - did I reel you in or what?!)

Winning bid: $997.87

Mar-23-04 Champagne and the Art of getting Unstuck Item number: 4100283461

There is a fairly complicated story behind the "reason" for the existence of this strand, which I am going to write about on my website, all you need to see here is the picture - the beads are 10-13 mm high/wide and sparkling like a freshly poured glass of champagne....handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free Priority Shipping worldwide. Thanks for looking!

Winning bid: $248.27

Mar-22-04 Victorias Secret and the Bonus Bunny Item number: 4100096481

For some reason I started calling the combination of grey and pink "Victoria's Secret" - and it still seems a fitting name. The Bunny in this auction is truely a bonus - he has a tiny brown spot on the inside edge of his left ear, so I would not have sold him by himself - but he is just too cute NOT to send out in the world. So, what you are bidding on is the strand of 7 encased florals with matching spacers - and you will get the bunny with it. Well, that's kind of like asking a jury in a court room not to keep a statement in mind that has been erased from the protocol...good luck! the bunny (the one you are NOT bidding on) is a little smaller than one inch from ear to toe, the focal is 3/4 inch high. Handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free shipping....thanks for looking (and again, beads without bidding on my website today)

Winning bid: $152.50

Mar-15-04 Keeping an Eye on the Garden (13) Item number: 2696181949

Yesterday Don and I were working on the layout for the Spotlight- page on "making eyes", and I thought I'ld better try and make sure that people can actually follow Jinx's instructions. Well, I could - after a few failed attempts. This particular bead is maybe a little too "Jinxed" - that swirly line around the eye is border-line acceptable (I hope Jinx won't mind! After all, that is definitely one of her trademarks, I tried to make it different by using a striped cane instead of black. But then again, Jinx sure won't have to worry about anyone copying her evil-eye beads, she is just the best. Period.) I added some raised flowers and the eye sits on an encased floral bicone (which is about 1 inch long). Accompanied by two matched pairs of small (12-13mm) florals and some lavender spacers and sparkly green lentils, this would make a wonderful necklace for a gardener! Handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free shipping as usual. Thanks for looking (this is a one week auction, since I will be out of town till next Monday). If you are interested in how to make eyes like this - 3 more weeks 'til  the "Spotlight on Beads for the Inner Child"...

Winning bid: $250.00

Mar-16-04 Bonzo and Scooter invite! (private class) Item number: 2695786134

I think it was Michael Barley who started to auction space in his classes to raise money for a good cause. I think that is a wonderful tradition, which I would like to continue by offering a private weekend class in my studio on San Juan Island, Washington State, to raise money for a  private non-profit organzation that rescues small dogs in Michigan. They are called PEKE A TZU RESCUE
                       White Cloud, MI
www.pekeatzurescue.com
and you can read all about them on their website. Why them? Why not - they asked me to donate a bead, but since I don't make anything dog-related, I thought a bead-class might be second best. The winner can chose the dates (I would recommend the summer-time, when the island is at it's best) - and he or she can bring a spouse, we have a very nice guest appartment right above my studio. Unfortunately I can only accomodate one student at this point. Please keep in mind that you will also have to pay for your travel expenses,  you will have to fly into Seattle, and then either take a small plane to the island, OR rent a car, drive a few hours and then take a ferry. It is not cheap to get here! Once you made it to the island, I will pick you up and wine and dine you - DH Steve will go out and dig for clams, pick oysters and fish for salmon. I promise a weekend of fun and learning - but you must be a dog-lover, since you will end up with Bonzo on your lap and Scooters tongue in your face, and 2 poodles and 4 cats will make sure you get the rest... email me with questions!

Winning bid: $1700.00

Mar-08-04 Mary Poppins and the Easter-dudes Item number: 2695157450

I LOVE this bead!! (You hardly ever hear me bragg in an auction, but today I had to). There is a lengthy story behind this, which I will tell on my website today, but I think just looking at this will be enough to make you smile. Works for me...and that's the nicest thing to have around on a rainy day. She is 1 1/2 inch high (including the wire-wrapping - by the way, she is made of 3 separate parts, so you can re-dress her if you like) and comes with 12 buddies that compliment her outfit - and yours, hopefully. Handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free shipping worldwide.

Winning bid: $135.63

Mar-07-04 Fashions and Fads (25) Item number: 2695375226

Lately I have been trying to figure out what colors are "en vogue" this year - I guess there are different types of beadmakers - those who create art, and those who create accessories (ohmy, I might get myself into trouble with statements like this). Well, anyway, personally I like to do both, sometimes I want to make something that people can wear with what they just bought at their latest shopping adventure. If we can believe "ELLE", where my current fashion wisdom springs from, brown, khaki and shades of blue are "in" - and whether lentil beads are a fad or not, who knows, I love making them, and I love wearing them as well - but I think it would be great to leave people the option of restringing the beads next year, when maybe brown and green go together... always thinking about the eternity these beads are going to last! The large focal is 7/8th of an inch wide....the smallest beads are 1/2 inch on the widest part...large whole spacers in blue and aqua, handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free shipping worldwide. Thanks for looking!

Winning bid: $239.48

Mar-05-04 Tales from the Pond (19 with frog-focal) Item number: 2694935951

Unfortunately this set didn't photograph as well as I would have liked it (and trust me, I tried! I through all my combined Megapixel into this shot...but the beads are MUCH nicer in person. Ah, don't you hate it when people say that?)  - but it's a real fresh looking combination of aqua and lime. The very first bead I made for this set (which isn't even included) reminded me so much of frog eggs that I had to include the frog (which sits on a 7/8th inch lentil bead with encased flowers). The little bumpy spacers are actully what the INSIDE of the bead to the left of the frog looks like before the encasing! Beadmaking never ceizes to amaze me...it is full of adventures!
Average size of these beads is 8mmx 12mm or thereabouts, handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free shipping worldwide. Ribbit!

Winning bid: $158.38

Mar-04-04 Tickled Pink (19) Item number: 2694722613

Last week I had a few small set in this "style" (which I dared to call inspired by Mary Engelbreit - that should be okay to say without being sued, right?) - so I tried to get a little fancier and make some matching beads in white with black polka dots, which is a lot harder then white dots on black. The pink is just the right contrast to prevent the beads from being bland, and the black and white gives a good counterbalance to the "cutsy" pink color. When I went window shopping this weekend there were pink clothes all over the place, definitely one of the most popular colors this year. These beads are on the small side, between 11 mm and 14 mm wide (hard to measure) - total length of the strand is 8 inches. Handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free Priority shipping worldwide. thanks for looking!

Winning bid: $305.00

Feb-27-04 "Go get our girl" (28) Item number: 2692701451

If you are a die-hard "Sex and the City" fan, of course you will know what this is all about - but I like this set of black and white beads almost as much as I liked this last episode...now, if we could only get Sarah-Jessica Parker to bid on these...we might have a perfect happy-end, Mr. Big or not. And this is all I am going to say today - average size of these beads is 8-9mm x 13-14mm, handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free Priority Shipping worldwide. Thanks a lot for looking!

Winning bid: $390.00

Feb-26-04 EasterEggs, well, sort of (15) Item number: 2693295603

This is another set in the spirit of the upcoming season...it was fun doing research for the designs, I just went to ebay and typed in "Easter Eggs" - amazing, the bunch of stuff you can buy...most of which you didn't even know you don't want. Hope someone will want these. By they way - these were made with the latest size of CorinaBeadSTamp molds, they are 7/8th of an inch in diameter, VERY easy to use, of all the sizes I have so far, this one seems to be the most "forgiving" - no matter what shape the initial bead was, the resulting lentil was perfect. This size will be available very soon, in about one week! But for now, this set of pastel colored beads will have to do - handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free Priority Shipping. Thanks for looking!

Winning bid: $158.52

Feb-25-04 Manolo Beadniks (11) Item number: 2693085797

In the spirit of the day (are you as exited as I am?) I am offering a set of essential accessories - I have no idea what you could do with these cone shaped beads, but they are fun, or so I think. The longest one is a little shorter than one inch, so the smaller ones would be perfect for some fancy earrings, two could be used for a short lariat type necklace - well, I am sure you can find a way to use these. Handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free shipping, enjoy the show tonight!

Winning bid: $256.00

Feb-24-04 Harry Valentine (Bunny Pendant) Item number: 2692880862

I made this little fellow as my entry to the February Challenge on "Heart beads", and at first I thought I would keep him, since he is the only rabbit I have ever made, and he turned out particularly cute - but then during my last class in Florida I realized that it is much more fun when OTHER people own my beads, since they carry them around and show them the world, while a bead in MY studio never gets to see anything beyond my cluttered desk. So, I am giving him up for adoption. Why his name is Harry? Well, the other day I had a discussion with my friend Lisa, about whether we like Charlotte's husband Harry or not. She said in her opinion he was "cute, in a white rabbit sort of way". Well, I am not sure about THAT Harry, but this guy is sure cute. There will also be a tutorial in the next Spotlight on how to make this type of elongated bunny-ears (and he will be pictured, alongside some of Lezlie Belangers incredible bunnies!) - so, you might own a semi-famous rabbit. Either way, I hope you will enjoy him, he comes already wire-wrapped, ready to wear. Handmade lampwork, kiln-annealed and free Priority Shipping worldwide...Happy Easter! (Am I early?)

Winning bid: $256.00

Feb-23-04 Tropical Inspiration (22) Item number: 2692272272

Can you tell that I recently spent time in Thailand and Florida? This set is "reeking" sun, tropical drinks and Florida Orange-juice (and I liked the combination of colors that Becky Mason had in one of her sets she showed me, I asked her whether she would mind if I worked some in those colors - thanks Becky!). "New" in this set are the tiny sculptural lotus-flowers (did you see the picture I had in my Thailand-postcards? Ever since I saw those blossomes floating on the water I wanted to go home and make some in glass). These would require a design where you could see the top of the beads (since the hole goes through the stamen-area) - I think they would work great in a "knotted" style, and they could be used both for bracelets or short necklaces, or even earrings. Lots of fun bright springy beads, average size is 8mmx 12-13mm, handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free Priority Shipping worldwide. thanks for looking!

Winning bid: $365.00

Feb-22-04 For Crying out Loud (focal) Item number: 2692475871

Do you ever wonder how to come up with a name for a bead or a set? I follow the "first association method" - I looked at this bead (which, by the way, is 1 1/4 " high and 1 1/8th " wide) and saw the teardrop shape (which is NOT a new CBS mold I am withholding from you, but the result of a lopsided bead I squished with the largest lentil mold, and the result is way cool, I don't think I could make this kind of bead on purpose, if I tried) and the name immediately popped into my head. This bead was my very favorite of a batch of "Barleyed dichroic" lentils I made before leaving to Thailand, and it even went with me on the trip. Now that I have owned it for a while, I am ready to pass it on - but I cleaned it, don't worry, there is no birdflu-virus stuck to it! Of course, if you prefer to buy "raw beads", I would be happy to take the wirewrapping off for you (without extra charge!) - and shipping is free as usual. Handmade lampwork, kiln annealed, and thanks for looking!

Winning bid: $89.88

Jan-25-04 A long Kiss Goodbye (19) Item number: 2686808524

One last auction before I leave for my annual Thailand-trip on Monday. This one is particularly pretty (and you know that I am usually not raving about my beads, at least not in public) - my favorite aspect of this strand is the fact that I will most probably never be able to reproduce it - because I don't know what the color was I used. It is an incredibly subtle shade of petroleum, and I found ONE rod of this transparent in my drawer, where it had been hidden for 3 years. The drawer had a mix of glass types in it, mostly Czech glass, but this one rod was of a totally different diameter than all the other Czech glass colors. It's a mystery - and I layered it with two other colors to get this particular shade. It matches perfectly with the dark tan and the metallic accents - on top of this there are a few new designs, like the cubes and the rim-dotted lentils. Hope that whoever gets these will enjoy them for many years to come. Average size of the beads is 8-10mm x 13-14mm, strung with 4mm bronze crystal. Handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free Priority Shipping. I'll be back in the middle of February - check in with my website for virtual travel experiences!

Winning bid: $456.99

Jan-13-04 MonsterBalls (28) Item number: 2683909890

By now you might already know that I am a movie-addict - which often reflects in the titles of my beads. Any unusual interpretation of meaning is entirely YOUR responsability. This is a strand of "Strolling Through Florence" beads that contains some really large beads (for MY beads anyway) - the focal is about 3/4 inch high (2mmx25mm exactly) - and the strand tapers down to the smallest beads which are 9mm-14mm. This is one of my favorite designs ever, and the only necklace I wear is made with beads like this. I hope that whoever gets these will enjoy them for the rest of their live - and maybe pass them on to future generations (ah, a girl can dream!) - handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free Priority Shipping. Thanks for looking!

Winning bid: $325.00

Jan-14-04 Mosaic in Moll (18) Item number: 2683645094

What does the "Moll" in the title of these beads mean? It's the German word for "minor" (as a musical term, like in "b-minor") - and as far as my musical knowledge reaches, I think it is supposed to "soften" the sound. And the word "Moll" in German is just a soft sounding word - and the "Moll" in this set are the lentils with swirls, while the purple and seafoam green beads are of course the Mosaic. I just thought they really complimented each other - but how you use them is of course entirely up to you. The lentils are 13mm wide, the focal of the mosaic strand is 15mmx20mm. Strung with 6 mm faceted Swarovski crystal. Handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free Priority Shipping.

Winning bid: $306.57

Jan-08-04 Obsession (31)Item number: 2683236666

Do you ever find yourself "trapped" in an obsession for something? I have a double one going - the color combination of purple, lavender and seafoam green (and my favorite color black of course) - AND the desire to smash everything that hangs on to a mandrel into lentil-oblivion. This time I contained the latter urge a little, but I made a BIG lentil as a centerpiece. The focal is ALMOST 1 1/2 inch wide (measured at the widest point), the other beads are somewhere around 7-8mm x 12-13mm. Lots of beads to play with... Handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free Priority Shipping.

Winning bid: $315.52

Jan-07-04 Sunday Smiles (25) Item number: 2683060578

It's really interesting what different images a strand of beads can evoke in your mind. Actually, the idea for the particular colors used here came during an episode of Sex and the City, where Samantha drops her paperwork in front of Richard and - well - I don't want to go into further detail, but if you have the DVD, check out the colors of the walls, the chairs, and the dress Samantha is wearing. But- looking at the finished strand, I rather envision kids playing on a sunny afternoon, some of them still in their church-finery, with little white collars...very far away from the world of Samantha and the girls.... are YOU going to watch tonight? Handmade lampwork, kiln annealed, average size of the beads is 8mm x 13mm, free Priority shipping.

Winning bid: $330.00

Jan-03-04 The Final Strand (30) Item number: 2682061141

At the end of a year I usually like to list something with a "bang" (well, you know what I mean) - something that "wraps up" the year for me. So, this strand is a collection of my favorite colors - purple, lavender, seafoam green and teal- , in my favorite designs of the year, so it includes a few lentil beads (I am suprised that I don't see MORE lentils on ebay...now that the "TOOL" is out there), a cube, encased flowers, surface flowers, all those beads I love to make. 30 beads should give you a bunch of material to play with - hope that working with these beads will give you as much pleasure as I had making them - thanks for sticking with me in 2003 - Have a wonderful new year, corina (and yes, these are handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free shipping as usual...)

Winning bid: $365.00

Jan-02-04 James Bond Beads (31) Item number: 2682198621

what is "James Bond" about this strand of black and white beads?? Hmmm, nothing really, I just remembered that yesterday I declared it would be my last auction of the year - and didn't Sean Connery once say that he would never be James Bond again? Well, here they are 31 beads in fun designs, these are a a little smaller than my usual beads (about 8mmx12mm average) - and they would look great in a "charm-style" bracelet I think.... I will post a picture of a watch I made for myself later on my website, so you can get an idea what I had in mind when I made these beads... Handmade Lampwork, kiln annealed, free shipping, and again, Happy New Year!

Winning bid: $330.00

Dec-24-03 Kachina Kachina (21) Item number: 2680408396

The other day I made a set called "Southwest Sunset" - and while I liked it a lot, but there was something that rubbed me the wrong way - which I figured out very quickly: the beads were made on a base of brown. I'm a "black" type of woman, so once I changed the base-color, this might now be one of my new favorite color combinations. It has a very "native" feel to it, but classy at the same time. And the two shades of orange add just the right amount of "zing"...Definitely a new Corina-classic. Will make smaller sets of this as daily specials soon, but for now, this is IT. My last listing before Christmas - have a good one! Size of the lentil focal is 3/4 inch in diameter, all other beads are around 12-13 mm. Handmade lampwork, kiln annealed and free Priority Shipping.

Winning bid: $362.67

Dec-23-03 Alaska Obsession (14) Item number: 2680263897

One of my favorite color-combinations has always been purple and periwinkle, which I called "Alaska" for a long forgotten reason. That "old obsession" paired with the new lentil tool was dangerously addictive, I spent all night mashing nothing but "Alaska-beads" into lentil-oblivion.... love this set, which is 9 inches long. should give you plenty of beads to play with. Handmade lampwork, Kiln annealed and free Priority Shipping as usual. Merry Christmas!

Winning bid: $380.98

Dec-13-03 Just for the Fun of it (19) Item number: 2677321873

This is probably the most "out there" beadset I have ever made. I promise that I was not under the influence of any illegal substance, except an overdose of "Inner Child adventure", being happy about the things in my life right now. I hope that whoever gets these beads will have an equal reason for joy and a big fat smile on your face. 19 handmade, lampworked, kiln annealed beads, average size is 14-18 mm, too big for a bracelet in my opinion, but these should be turned into a long necklace anyway... something to look at when utter boredom strikes. Free Priority Shipping - and check out the new "Corina Mall" that is hidden somewhere on this auction page...(follow the Yellow Brick Road...)

Winning bid: $293.97
