I called the beads "Same frit ..... different day" because I used the same frit and just changed the color of the base bead.  The frit was the result of every single piece of glass I have that is no longer useful in it's own right, thrown into a frit masher and smashed to smithereens - so it's a combination of just about every color glass I have.  Each bead, once "fritted" was encased in clear.

Top -Effetre Glass Rods - Cobalt Core (encased), random stringers of EDP Purple, Carrot Red and Yellow (encased again), Silver Foil burnished in and then I rolled it in Silver Clear Reduction Frit (not reduced). This seems to produce a "window effect" over the Foil as long as you don't try to reduce it. If you reduce you end up with kind of a scummy yellowy color. This was a happy accident bead.

Middle Row - Effetre Glass Rods - Aqua Cores with various designs in Medium Amethyst and Aqua (dots, triangles etc.) then encased. Silver Foil burnished in and them rolled in Silver Clear Reduction Frit (not reduced) for "window effect".

Bottom Row - Czech Glass Rods - Sapphire Core rolled in Goldstone Frit that I made out of leftover bits of Goldstone rod then encased.

The frit beads pictured were made with Bullseye glass and were too simple for words- "beginner frit" beads!  Aurora Peach frit from Val on a french vanilla base, and either Cranberry or Fuchsia (don't remember which, but also came from Val) on a transparent lavender base.  The two on the end are basic bullseye spacers made with pink.

First bead is a black base with a variety of crushed glass frit on hand, including ivory, silvered ivory, lapis blue, then bead is etched for matte, stony look.

Second bead is opal yellow base, rolled in silver and then reduction frit stringer (silver luster blue), silvered ivory and silvered orange stringers.

Final bead is bullseye glass, salmon pink base, several different layers including some dots of silver luster blue stringer, 24k gold foil and copper ruby frit.

Most of my frit beads are made to match genuine stone beads, so I tend to use the organic, earthy colors offered by reduction frits.  Shown in this image are most of the reduction frit colors available - some encased, some not, some with a matte finish and some not.  I especially like iris yellow, silver green, light tobacco and lemon yellow.  I almost always mix my frits because the result more closely matches the colors and patterns found in natural stones.

This frit combination is made from a little bit of all the intense frits I have, all mixed together--potpourri! Larger beads in back: left bead- black base with some white stringer, rolled in frit and encased, right bead-white base, encased, rolled in frit, encased again, rolled again. Beads to left: white bases, rolled in frit, encased, then dots of frit pulled into stringers. Beads to right: Two are black bases with white band rolled in frit. Three are white bases, frit and transparent color encasing.

Frittered hair, made with transparent ambers, clears, gold adventurine, and a pinch of iris reduction frit.  Made the stringers by shaping the traditional lollipop, heated, and picked one type of frit layer by layer - then pulled thin and applied.  I learned that goldstone and reduction frits do not appear as sparkly metals when cooked for over an hour on one bead, but the nasty effect I like on this little jaundiced head....

The technique I used was periwinkle base with silver blue reduction frit--not reduced. The beads were then mashed into lentil shapes.

I started with an inner core of colour with a covering of alabastro pink. That wasn't working so I covered the two ends with iris blue reduction frit. I think I actually cooked all the metallic effect that produces the reduction effect out of part of the frit which is why there is the coloured band in the middle surrounding the scorched alabastro center. The addition of newer reduction frit stringer around the ends allowed for the reduction effect to work but how it overlapped and seeped into the reduced ends is a mystery to me.
